Papagena - Nuns and Roses

Friday 8 June 2018, 7.30pm
From the chant of Hildegard of Bingen to Bach, Byzantine hymns to Norwegian lullabies, the all-female a cappella group Papagena present an exquisite musical cocktail of folk, medieval classical and contemporary styles, woven into a tapestry which is both sacred and profane, tender, witty and urbane.

​AFTER HOURS: Grace Bale

University of Nottingham graduand and Cathedral Choral Scholar, Grace Bale, gives a short 'after hours' recital at 9.45pm following the concert by Papagena. Grace will be joined by pianist Rob Challinor in this programme centred around hope and rejoicing.
