An Evening of Britten

Friday 22 November 2019, 7.30pm
(1 hour + 'after glow')

Join us for a celebration of composer Benjamin Britten on the Feast Day of St Cecilia, the Patron Saint of Music.

The Cathedral Choir will sing a range of Britten favourites from A Ceremony of Carols accompanied by harpist Rowena Bass, as well as the enduring Hymn to St Cecilia and the stunning Choral Dances from ‘Gloriana’. Local young musicians will also perform the rousing Fanfare for St Edmundsbury.

There will be an 'after glow' performance of the charming Ballad of Little Musgrave and Lady Barnard in Cathedral Hall after the main concert.
